Become a Leader

Volunteers are crucial to the 4-H program. Without volunteers’, clubs couldn’t run, members couldn’t travel, projects couldn’t happen. You do not have to be an “expert” to be a 4-H leader; you only need enthusiasm and a desire to make a positive impact in a child’s life. Parents and caregivers play a critical role in volunteering with the program to support our members. Leaders support and strengthen the skills of each club member and strive to make their 4-H experience educational and fun!

If you have been in touch with a club and are ready to register, please follow the link here: 4-H Registrations | 4-H Registrations (nb4h.ca)

If you have not connected with a club and are looking to find out more about getting registered, please email us at executivedirector@nb4h.ca

Each club must have two (2) fully screened Leaders who are not spouses to officially be a Club. Leaders come from all different walks of life, from 4-H alumni, to parents, to grandparents and retired folks looking to share their time and talents. 4-H New Brunswick is a safe and welcoming place where we are constantly seeking adults to share their talents in the development of youth.

Because 4-H New Brunswick values the safety of its members, all Leaders must complete a Volunteer Screening Process. The process has been moved to our online registration platform, so the below documents can be used as a guide for what to expect, but we will no longer be asking for paper copies of these documents. If you’d like to get involved, please send us an email!
